First Generation (2002-2005)

In the era of 2002-’05, the Kia Sedona was manufactured for the first time. The Kia Sedona had smooth and attractive crash test rating, superb build quality, and high performance.

It was introduced with a 3.5-liter V6 engine to make 195 horsepower. At that time, two trim levels were provided;

• plusher EX and
• Well-equipped LX.

Second Generation (2006—Present)

The current generation of Kia Sedona is a minivan that represents the car’s second generation. It was debuted in 2006, and considerable efforts were made in developing this car to improve its performance, in comparison to the early generation. With these modifications, the engine could produce power levels of 250 hp. A shorter wheelbase was not offered in the 2009 model, and the salient features were –

• elective navigation system,

• Satellite radio is included in the features list.

The longer edition replaces a 60/40-split fold-flat 3rd row seat in short wheelbase’s 50/50-split removable bench place.

The Short Wheel Base Sedona is provided only in traditional trim, whereas the Long Wheel Base provides an option among top-lined EX and LX trims. The LX and base trim comes with

• full range of power accessories.

Some of the noteworthy features of EX trim are

With the help of 119-inch wheelbase, the Kia Sedona runs smoothly on all types of roads. It has the same size as that of Honda Odyssey. All three rows have plenty of legroom and the third row seat is exclusively reserved for kids. The third row seat has tight head room and low cushion.
